How many years oil reserves will long last? I have been seeing in the news that certain company has cut the jobs of employees due to the fall of oil prices then what to do in that kind of situation?

Future for petroleum engineers remain promising despite all the negative media talk.  Oil reserves are not going to dwindle anytime soon! They will last for another century for sure. Oil price can go down and up but if you’re passionate about pursuing masters in PE than oil prices should not influence your decision.
