I have visited the website of the petroleum engineering different universities and have seen that there a variety of master’s program out there. For eg. University of Houston offers only a Masters of Science in Petroleum Engineering with a thesis and a non- thesis option. Whereas, University of Texas A&M offers a Masters of Science and Masters of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering. Could you just inform me about the differences in these courses and also which degree would the companies prefer to see in a student they would want to hire?
